A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Community
As we reflect on the past year at Blueprints for Hope, we are filled with gratitude for the incredible support from our community. With your generosity, we achieved our first major milestone: awarding our very first grant and laying the foundation for continued growth.
Through this support, we established the Lance Evan Amato Student Travel Fund in partnership with the University of Miami School of Architecture. Each year, this fund will enable a student to pursue the Rome Architecture Study Abroad Program—the same transformative experience that Lance cherished and championed as an alumnus. Carrying this forward is a true honor and continuation of his legacy.
At the same time, your support is helping us advance our other major initiatives: supporting and empowering families navigating Pancreatic Cancer. While we are still working toward these goals, we are focusing on three key areas where we think we can make the most immediate impact:
Family Support: Providing financial assistance to families in need who are actively fighting pancreatic cancer. When Lance was sick, he needed an experimental drug that is changing the narrative on how to fight pancreatic cancer. Insurance did not initially cover it, and it cost $28K. Families should not be faced with this stress, anxiety, or decision making while literally fighting for your life.
Amplifying Voices: Sharing patient stories to raise awareness and inspire support for others. It will take all of us to make a difference.
Education & Empowerment: Connecting families to trusted resources and cutting through the noise of information.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for believing in this mission and helping us turn hope into action. In carrying forward Lance’s passion for education, community and connection, we are committed to keeping you updated on our progress, sharing stories of impact, and reaching out with opportunities to get involved as we continue to advance these initiatives.
